An Exhibition of Illustration and Printmaking from the Arctic and Antarctic
Beatrice von Preussen
26th November – 1st December
10:00 – 18:00 (12:00 – 14:00 Sunday)
Tuesday 26th November 18:30 – 20:30
On a quest to find the world’s northernmost printing press, Beatrice sailed around the Svalbard archipelago high in the Arctic Circle. Having met polar bears and found fossils she travelled to the Antarctic Peninsula in search of the world’s southernmost printing press.
On Deception Island Beatrice joined a team investigating microbial food webs. Working closely with scientists has given her a unique view of the natural world and shaped the process of creating prints made at either end of the Earth.
Artist’s Talk with the Natural History Museum Art Science Interest Group
